Vivid Living

4 5 I am always living vividly, you only live once. Going bananas in my, 70s, vintage Alex Colman California, pants.  Alex Colman was known for their lovely, vivid prints, and clothing for a casual lifestyle. I will list these with my Brazil collection when I get back from Sao Paulo. I wore them with a striped American Apparel bodysuit. I love mixing black and white with bright colored prints. I also love mixing and matching to perfection. I accessorized with a necklace handmade and tye dyed from a turban I bought from a fair. I also wore a chunky polka dot wood bracelet from Forever 21, and a shell ring from a cupcake. I used some blonde fake hair, braided it,then put it up in a high ponytail, and then a bun with some plastic magenta necklaces, and a plumeria clip from Hawaii. Last but not least, my mini crochet pineapple bag from one of my good friends Lissete. 679 Tchau

Be Radiant with Guava

g3This year I will be sharing many tips on living a healthier lifestyle. Glowing soft skin, hair and nails, higher energy, lower stress, and a better longer quality of life is  achieved by feeding your body good natural foods from the earth. Dieting is great and all but if you are missing out on eating essential life saving nutritious fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, nuts, seeds, and grains, you will be skinny but dull as well. It is all about what you put in your body, not avoid. I am in Brasil so I am going to start with the abundance of delicious tropical fruits she has to offer.

Bite into a fragrant yummy Guava and your skin will start to feel toned, refreshed, and wrinkle free. Your body will also thank you, and here is why:

Guavas are so good for body! When your body functions right, your metabolism soars as you lose weight. Guavas contains the mineral folate, which helps promote fertility. Guava has vitamin A, B & C (helps protect your cells). Guavas are full of fiber, we all know how that helps us digest, and clean out our system. Lower blood sugar levels, another plus. It also regulates blood pressure with its high potassium content. Guava is also rich in retinol, so it helps your pretty eyes stay sharp. Guavas contain the trace element copper for a good functioning thyroid gland, so important for a healthy slim body. Rich in magnesium as well guavas give you a quick energy boost and more relaxed muscles. Eat one post workout!g2

Guavas are excellent for beautiful glowing skin.  They are composed of mostly water, which we all know hydrates your skin. If you are not getting your 8 glasses a day your aging yourself, dry like the desert. You can also make a mask or scrub out of it for an even complexion by removing your dead cells. A guava provides about 2.9 grams of lycopene so it protects you from sun damage and harmful UV rays. Needless to say this helps your skin from premature aging. Scrubbing your face with Guava is effective in enhancing skin texture, tightening the loosened skin and reviving the lost elasticity. The astringent qualities of guavas keep your skin free from blemishes, acne, wrinkles and pimples. It can also be used to lighten your skin. You can also mash it into a paste and put directly on pimples, and dark spots. Guavas also help with hair loss, and promotes hair growth. Guavas are also Pink, another bonus!

The inspiration is already making my brain spin.sp4 This Pic is my first inspiration for my collection. I see a dress representing the mix of the city skyscrapers, and the pop of color and beauty the flowers provide. Now to find the first dress to paint. Tchau. pack1sp1

Holiday Diary

p8 Had a pink Christmas this year, and Boy did it  just spring up quick. I got this tree from a customer at work! I love my job. Anyways I started the holidays with coffee, a breakfast date with my tiger, sunning in the garden, and setting up the cotton candy pink tree. Pink lingerie, bloomers, fabulous french sunnies, music, dancing, flirting, and kissing all day. Between the sunshine and the  fire place, we indulged in cold stellas in icy glasses, whiskey, good food, and good company. For all who stopped by and shared times with us, we love and cherished every second. p4 We went to our favorite pancake house for a late breakfast. Wake and bake is a slow start enjoying every second with no hurries. No Stress. New Years goal! Back to the pancakes, and this place has the best coffee ever, the polished silver spoons, and Victorian decor make it that much better. Fresh squeezed orange juice, naturally. More coffee, yes please. We order, well always order the giant fluffy German pancake. Sitting there all ready to be topped with the fresh whipped butter, powdered sugar, and lemon juice. You must have the apple-wood smoked bacon, unless you don’t eat meat. Mad Respect. We share this over fun conversation and by the end our fingers smell of sweet lemon sugar butter bars, you could bottle the smell, or at least make a candle. ogphttp://www.originalpancakehouse.com/ I love the banana chocolate chip ones with fresh whipped cream too. A must try if visiting San Diego. They have excellent service too. pulla9 Spending my twelfth Christmas with this beautiful Brazilian Guitarist-surfer right beside me. He truly is my king, my sun, and my stars. I fall for him more each day and melt in his arms like warm sand. I am lucky to find a love like this. Love conquers all. p1 Since it was so Hot We decided to throw a tropical holiday brunch for New Years Eve. p2 I made Hawaiian wedding cakes with cream cheese icing, walnuts, and cherries. I also made beijinos, or little kisses. Sugared coconut condensed milk truffles from Brasil. Sweet. p3 I love serving up brunch, its easy, sexy, and fun. Mimosas start the party right, the bubbles go straight to the head. Plus whats not to love about breakfast for dinner. I always serve my mimosas with fresh squeezed juice. If you have yet to realize you only live once, spend the extra time to squeeze. I use orange, and grapefruit juice. I added pink guava juice to these. I always serve cold beer, it is my favorite, symbolizes vacation. Plus most people love it, and you cant get too drunk. I made a big fruit plate, a cheese topped buttery onion garlic mashed potato casserole, and a brown sugary cinnamon, crunchy soft french toast bake. To die for, and a recipe to come soon. I am working on a brunch book.  Easy, and perfect. p7 Cute gifts. redpink2 Every second is of infinite value. luv2pinkred3 But what minutes! Count them by sensation, and not by calendars, and each moment is a day.- Benjamin Disraelipinkyyy He is blessed over all mortals who loses no moment of the passing life. -Henry David Thoreauredpink1 I love wearing red and pink together. I do whatever makes me happy, and that is how we should all aspire to live in 2014. For ourselves, and in the moment. Do everything with love and care. p6cute

Keep Calm & Eat Sushi

bath2 Eating sushi in the bath is my new favorite thing! Even better with Lavender salts, and pink milky sake. Serve on a cute platter and always have candles. It helps set the mood so you can relax, or escape. I know many people don’t even take baths, or go out of there way to eat as I do, but that’s the way I live, and I hope to inspire you. I am not a quick and easy type, I work a lot, but always find the time to make rituals ,and spoil myself. Life is art. If you are the type who laughs at effort, viewing it as a waste of time as you pop a sloppy dinner in your trap and say look how easy that was. I say Yes, and basic as well, and to each there own, but please do go to France, or at least study how they eat and come tell me it is not inspiring. You only have one life so live it how you like. I like cute things, and living as fabulously as I can. xoxobath3

Slipping out of my Pastel Faerie Wedges and Into a Lavender bath

shoes I picked up some healing gemstones, crystals, and Lavender Faerie Bath Salt at Lady of the Lake, and Controversial Bookstore. I picked up a Fuchsite stone as well, it is a pretty metallic mint color with tons of healing properties. Strength, flexibility, spine and back , self  realization and emotional attachment separation are a few of its magical benefits. I dreamed up these shoes and had to make them. I used e600 glue, tiny flowers, crystals, healing gemstones, pearls, crystals, and broken jewelry to make these beauties. sh

Do You need a reason for Loving?

bardot4Brigette Bardot said…..Do you have to have a reason for Loving? Love needs no reason nor does looking fabulous all the time. I grow weary of hearing women complain day after day,”But I don’t have anywhere to wear that to”. Life is meant to be fun, spontaneous, full of beauty, and filled with inspiring moments with strangers. I fall in love at least 10 times a day, whether it be a new tea cup, a painting, a pair of shoes, a flower, a beautiful soul, or a song.  Hate is very strong, but love always prevails. Forgiving opens your heart, and makes more room for love. The moment you stop caring about what people think you will find it easier to follow your heart and fall in love with people who are deserving of your beautiful light.bardot bardot3 bmay2 Hair color Cotton Candy Pink from Manic Panic, lipstick D’Lilac and Great Pink Planet from Lime Crime. Eye makeup inspired by Eddie Sedgwick, and a tutorial for that later too. Lilac nightgown from Victoria Secret, and baby doll sheer lilac sleep blouse vintage, for sale soon. Wedges and Bardot Canvas made by me. Tea cup Vintage as well. The baby blue skull ring is a score from Hot Topic, best $6 I’ve spent, I wear it every day. So If you feel like hanging in your garden, going to the market, holiday shopping, or drinks with friends, be fabulous. Decorate yourself, play pretty music, and brew some tasty teas. Or champagne. If you need some original pretty things…..Thrift stores or local boutiques are a good start. xoxo

Happiness for breakfast

nummy Coffee with cream in a tiny teacup, sometimes I love it milky, especially cuddled in bed by a sunny window. Powdered donuts aren’t for everyday but are so magical when you finally sink your teeth into them, right after being dipped in my coffee.  Fresh berries, fresh orange juice, and cantaloupe stars make breakfast cheerful, and healthy too. Perfect start to a day off, life is good. Now time for cartoons in bed.
