Pretty Baked

  Today I felt like doing nothing, so I got dolled up and put on my favorite outfit. I make some tea and turn on some Carla Bruni, and Bridget Bardot .I start by putting on my makeup in my peach silk slip. Then I put on my elegant flowy pleated nightgown-esque dress. The heart of the Ocean Neckace is next because I am missing the sea. Pastel peach petals adorn my shoulders and a peachy fur scarf drapes my neck. Then I decided to go to the market for some coffee and ingredients to make the BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES EVER. And they were. Baking is one of my favorite pastimes, even tho I stay away from sweets as much as I can. Fresh Chocolate Chip Cookies right out of the oven are necessary sometimes. Baking in a pretty gown really puts extra energy and love into your dessert, you must try it. Needless to say they came out perfect so I mush share the recipe with you. Click below for recipe.

Pretty in Peach

 Peach is probably one of my favorite colors, it is so soft, girly,and innocent. I mixed it with a little pink, gold, and a pop of orange. I love gradients of color. These rose gold Jeffrey Campbell wedges go with just about everything. My lipstick is Roman Moon again, I love it. My friend at work surprised me with these pink bloomers, perfect, I put them on right away. Getting dolled up is so fun, I love being a girl.

Anti Aging Red Wine Afternoon

 If you love love love red wine like I do, then you should try this. When you have a day of,f take it to yourself and have a mini spa day in bed, with a bottle of red wine. Don’t feel bad if you drink the whole bottle 🙂 Kick back, cut some fresh cold cucumbers, steam a towel for your face, pop open the bottle, drink wine as you prepare the mask, gently spread on your delicate face, and feel as if you are getting younger with every breath. Drink up and watch some good movies.

Give me the bright lights

I am obsessed with orange and pink together right now. Today I went  bright with it, wearing Electric Orange, Fuschia, and gold. The Jacket I made myself and the Embroidered Mandala Print Tunic is thrifted. Leggings from American Apparel. I wore lots of gold accessories  like my snake braclet, Ganesh ring, jeweled alligator ring, vintage inspired seafoam jeweled earrings, and a bright pink and gold bindi. I cant stop wearing this garter coin purse, or my new vintage barbie purse charm. When I love something I wear it every day. For my makeup I went minimal on the eye with only a golden shadow and mascara.  Lately I have been wearing a Skin Renew BB Cream for combination/oily skin from Garnier Fructis. I like the coverage and it really does control shine. For my lips I wanted them to pop. My favorite orange lipstick EVER, is from Laura Mercier, its called Roman Moon. I love the name almost as much as the product, and looks equally good on pale, or tan skin. Hair color is Cotton Candy by Manic Panic.

Flower Faerie Spring Salad

 The farmers Market now carries edible flowers, they will be a regular in all my dishes now. I just bought some fresh greens, radish sprouts, cucumber, tomatoes, and avocado, then threw on some toasted sunflower seeds and edible flowers. You will feel like flower fairies danced across your salad plate.

Oh Honey Cake, with Caramelized Pears

 Freshly baked beauty.I have been making this cake for about 7 years now and it is so good, probably the best. Everybody will ask for the recipe. It is so comforting, yummy, and sexy. I religiously subscribed to martha stewart since I was 16, and have been making this cake every year when the red Anjou pears are ripe. It is so good with tea and good vanilla ice cream. Always use extra cinnamon, and best quality honey! Below is a link to the recipe.

Flat belly infused water with cucumber, ginger, mint, and lemon.

2 liters water (about 8 ½ cups)
1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
1 medium cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
1 medium lemon, thinly sliced
12 small spearmint leaves.

Combine all ingredients in a large pitcher and let flavors blend overnight.

Drink the entire pitcher by the end of each day.

This is from the Flat Belly Diet, and I love it and make it all the time. The cucumber and lemon are natural diuretics  The ginger and spearmint help relieve bloating. Plus its so refreshing and yummy! I am also drinking triple leaf super slimming tea.
