Iced Strawberry Coconut Milk Tea (skinny)

stea I have been dreaming up all things strawberry milk lately and was dying to make some homemade syrup, but healthier. So here is what I came up with to sweeten the tea and make icy strawberry milk. For strawberry milk just ad any milk of choice with your strawberry syrup. You must try this yummy icy pink strawberry drink I concocted, plus its healthy. I based my recipe on the sweet milk teas I get in frozen yogurt places, Asian Cafes, markets. The delicate flavor of coconut kisses the sweet milky strawberry while they dance on Ice. Serve in a mason Jar, I love the things.

SKINNY Strawberry Syrup:

  1. 12 fresh strawberries chopped
  2. 1 cup of water
  3. 1 cap full of vanilla extract.
  4. 1 or 2 packets of Truvia sugar
  5. 1 tbsp of honey or agave nectar
  6. 2 tbsps of brown sugar

Put this all in a blender and blend. Transfer to a small sauce pan and bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and stir occasionally for around a half hour until it thickens up a bit. Add some more sweeter or a little sugar throughout if needed. You want it sweet, light,  but still tart.  Then remove from heat and blend again. Then put your strawberry syrup it in a air tight jar or bottle and refrigerate over night or for at least a few hours. You can just use a cup of sugar too instead of the sweeteners, but it wont be as good for you.

Strawberry Iced Tea: Brew some strawberry tea in a pitcher, and add a packet of truvia or any sugar of your choosing, the idea is to sweeten it. Agave nectar is good to. Then add some sliced strawberries and some strawberry syrup. Let chill for a while, stir well, and serve over ice.

Strawberry Coconut Milk Iced Tea: Add some more syrup to a glass, some strawberry iced tea, and some coconut milk. Soy milk, or milk work too, but the coconut is so good for you, low in sugar, and tastes perfect with the strawberry. cocoteee

Happy Birthday Pope of Trash

jw Happy Birthday John Waters! You are a god, an incredible film maker, and a personal inspiration. I first saw Polyester at 10 or 11 years old and forever was changed. My mom introduced me. Then I saw Crybaby, Pink Flamingos, Serial Mom, Desperate living, Female Trouble, Hairspray, Lust in the Dust, Mondo Trasho,Pecker, and more. You made me comfortable being the weirdo I am and always strive to be totally original. So I thank you for that, and hours of entertainment. You and your movies are the best so I am celebrating by watching a few of my favorite films, wearing my trashy jewelry, and drinking kinky liquor. Muffy, crybaby, and Waters necklaces I handmade, the flamingo is from forever 21.watersjw3jw2  “Life is nothing if you’re not obsessed.”

Sweet Tooth & Strawberry Youth

pink2pink3 Today I decided to indulge, and worship all things pink and girly. My boyfriend took me on a free spirited treasure hunt for rosy must haves to fill my life. I found this Get Gorgeous Herbal tea for clear skin, and in a cute pink tin, Obsessed. The Republic of Tea is the brand in case you want to get some too. Then I decided to go home drink some tea, make a strawberry face mask, and do my French lessons, take a fairy bath, then drink French wine. Anyways, here is a recipe for a strawberry face mask. Very good if your skin can be a little on the oily side. It smells, and tastes really good, but your face looks like its covered in blood. Kinda cool. The strawberries help clear acne and reduce oil, the honey reduces swelling, kills bacteria, and keeps you youthful  The oil makes your skin supple, moisturized, and glowing, but wont clog your pores. The addition of the lemon balances the oil in your skin, and is a natural astringent. berrymask

Strawberry Face Mask

  1. 9 very ripe strawberries, tops cut off
  2. 1 tbsp of olive oil
  3. 2 tbsp of honey
  4. lemon (1 tbsp, I use)

Mash the strawberries in a bowl. Then mix in the oil, then the honey, and mix well. Then depending on your skin is how much lemon juice you should add. I added a whole tbsp for my skin, it tends to be on the oily side. So use about 8 drops if you have dryer skin. Then mix it all up and apply to your face and neck evenly, let dry for 5 to 10 minutes, rinse off, pat dry, and moisturize. pink1 My phone case is a Pink Rilakkuma bear from Ranch 99, the jewel is leftover from a party. The Oink Oink pink piggy spatula is the cutest, and the back is a wiggly little tail and butt. I made the pink haired doll clips. I went to the world market today and got all the pink yummy strawberry swirled treats like: Hello kitty Yam Yams, Pink Pocky, Strawberry hello kitty soda, leftover easter rock candy, Chocolate Strawberry Cream Ritter Sport, and fancy pink packaged vanilla almond wafers. I also picked up a mini bottle of Vanilla Noir, French Vanilla wine for dessert tonight, for my bath! The watch is My Melody from a happy meal. The Fairy Dust are magical mineral bath salts I got from a local wiccan store. The box says greenvalleyskincare.com. I got the romantic, relaxing red, filled with black rose, french rose, and sandalwood. bs

Strawberry Orange Sherbet

og2og3og1og4  I found this amazing vintage jacket at work, and it was love at first sight.Quilted orange and pink swirls of floral with a hint of golden yellow. I feel like a refreshing bowl of rainbow Sherbet, a perfect look for spring. I wore it over a pale girly dress with bright pink lips and shoes, girly pink gloves, baby doll socks, and my vintage butterfly glasses. I love accessories I collect them and layer them to perfection, or maybe obsession. I made the little doll head pins for my socks, shoes, or hair, but I have a friend who needs them as pasties. I will enjoy my little pink haired doll accessories while they are still mine. For the glasses I glued on some broken butterfly pieces of jewelry on some vintage frames. Elegant, flirty, and original. orange I also rocked it with a little white ruffly blouse, and pink leggings. Of course I had to wear it with my favorite Victorian hooker garter purse filled with my precious stones. I wear it with all my favorite outfits,it just goes, and the energy and magic that it gives me is priceless. og6

Kiwi Mimosas

kiwi1I was testing out drinks for my Alien Happy Hour, later this week, and I came up with a delicious bright green mimosa. I have to share the recipe but it is not exact measurements  just have fun with it.

  1. 4 kiwis peeled and chopped, save some rings for a garnish.
  2. 3 limes juiced
  3. 1/2 cup of raw sugar, stevia , or agave nectar to sweeten.
  4. 1/2 cup of water
  5. a drop of green food coloring
  6. 1 cup of orange juice
  7. 1 bottle of champagne

You just toss the kiwi thru the food coloring and blend in the blender. Then transfer to a small saucepan and boil it slightly, then simmer it a bit, like a simple syrup.  Then pour in the orange juice, stir, and remove from the heat. Refrigerate it until it is cool. Serve later in a pretty glass aside some champagne, or sparkling wine.

Grandmas Devil Eggs

eggz

  1. A dozen eggs, hard boiled and peeled
  2. 1/2 onion finely diced
  3. 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  4. 1/4 cup miracle whip
  5. 2 tbsp of mustard
  6. 1 tbsp white vinegar
  7. A spoonful of sugar
  8. a pinch of salt
  9. a pinch of pepper
  10. Paprika, for garnishing

Halve the eggs lengthwise. Remove yolks and place in a small bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork and add the onion, mash well, then add the rest of the ingredients, but not the paprika. Stir it up really good. then fill it into your halved eggs with a spoon, and sprinkle paprika on top. Then arrange on a pretty deviled egg platter, or on top of any color peeps you desire. I have been making these every year for thanksgiving, or Easter, they go quick! My mom used to make them with me when I was little, but its grandmas recipe. This is from memory, and I hardly measure, I always eyeball it, but this is the skeleton. The sugar vinegar combo is what makes it.
