Lose weight and fight fatigue with green drinks, or smoothies. You will get addicted to them and how great they make you feel. You can blend just about any greens, herbs, fruits, and flax together for a wonderful healing smoothie. When I was collecting herbs from my garden I accidentally put a whole handful of cat nip plant in, oops. Its part of the mint family so its all good, my kitty was a little pissed at me tho. She is a nip addict. No melon, dose not merry well. First I blended kale, celery, cucumber, spinach, romaine, mint, lemon juice, and water, then blended. You want to break down all your greens. Then I added a banana, 2 pears, flax, chia seed. I blended to perfection. So make your own and feel the difference. I love swiss chard, collard greens, watercress, sprouts, hemp, spirulina……….Play with different healing ingredients to boost your health. Here are some good recipes, and a little tutorial.
I was testing out drinks for my Alien Happy Hour, later this week, and I came up with a delicious bright green mimosa. I have to share the recipe but it is not exact measurements just have fun with it.
- 4 kiwis peeled and chopped, save some rings for a garnish.
- 3 limes juiced
- 1/2 cup of raw sugar, stevia , or agave nectar to sweeten.
- 1/2 cup of water
- a drop of green food coloring
- 1 cup of orange juice
- 1 bottle of champagne
You just toss the kiwi thru the food coloring and blend in the blender. Then transfer to a small saucepan and boil it slightly, then simmer it a bit, like a simple syrup. Then pour in the orange juice, stir, and remove from the heat. Refrigerate it until it is cool. Serve later in a pretty glass aside some champagne, or sparkling wine.
