Spiked Cherry raspberry, mango, peach, pineapple freeze

c4c2c1c3 Summer sunshine and a day off lead to this delicious spiked fruit slushie. My boyfriend also surprised me with little mermaid leggings Iv’e been wanting, so I had to celebrate. I went to the market and picked up some french rose wine, cherry juice, frozen raspberries, mangoes, peaches, pineapple, and oranges. Oh and grapes, and cheese. It’s a healthy indulgence with all the fresh fruits, tea, and wine blended to an adult summer slushie. Its tart, sweet, and refreshing, I love it so much. We sipped them in the yard, and topped them with champagne until the sun went down, then made some fish, and veggies.

  1. First blend some cherry juice and frozen raspberries until blended and icy. Pour into glasses and freeze until you make the orange part. This part is important to get the lava effect.
  2. Blend some fresh squeezed orange juice, iced green tea, frozen mango, frozen peaches, frozen pineapple, and some french rose wine. (Vanilla Vodka, champagne, coconut rum….you could spike it with many things, but works best as a belini topping gradualy with champagne.) Blend
  3. Remove the cups from freezer and pour the peach mango, pineapple, orange, mixture over the cherry, raspberry one. Garnish with fruit cherries and straws. It should break up and look like the pics above.

It is so good, the cherry gives it a sour cherry punch. So make some, they are so perfect under sunset on a summer night with loads of candles in the back yard.  Heat wave is coming so many yummy frosty healthy concoctions to come. c5

Kitty Paw shorts

meowmeow3 I was going through a Japanese fashion  magazine last fall and saw the cutest pair of denim shorts with fuzzy bear paws in the front. I have been dying to make a pair ever since, still need to make bear ones! So I dyed some white denim cut offs baby pink and sewed on some faux fur pink kitty paws with little leather white nails. Then I sewed cream lace around the bottoms. I am going to be making some more of these up for sale soon. Meow

Passing time in Pastels

pastel1 I went shopping this morning for lisa frank stuff, art supplies, and other cute things, then I stumbled upon some pastel baby yarn and went to it like a kitten. It reminds me of marshmallows. I had to braid it into my hair. I then built my whole out fit around it and went out for Ice cream before crafting for hours. I made a really cute teddy bear ring, and some mermaid bras.pastel3pastel4 Always do what makes you happy, and to hell with anyone who stands in your way.pastel8pastel9shells3shells4shells1    I have been dying to make some mermaid sea shell bras, and here is my first one! I need to attach to a bra, but almost there. I am going to make one in all my favorite colors. This is a perfect summer accessory for wearing under a little white dress, flowy tank, or thin band tee. Perfect for festivals, looking bad ass on the street, or playing make believe you are a mermaid. shells2rocks2pastel6 If you find yourself depressed, bored, or a little lost, try tapping into your childlike self and indulge in something that makes you really happy. I suffer from Summertime sadness. Then snap out of it with fun music, dress up, makeup, stuffed animals, adventures, shopping, ice cream, and crafts. If you are new to crafting, try to make something your heart desires, something you dreamed, or saw in a magazine, or blog. Nothing makes me feel happier then accomplishing something from start to finish that is beautiful, and uniquely my own. Making really cool original gifts for your friends is even better. In fact this mermaid bra is going to be for my best friend, along with many other treasures and possibly a mixed tape. Making gifts inspires getting them back in return, so share some fashion karma and be double rewarded. lo2 This babe right here is the original sexy siren, owning the shell bra look. We are the pink haired Romy and Michele. Always be yourself, and have fun wearing whatever your heart desires.

Rose Petal Iced Milk Tea

bbq2 amor4This is super easy to make, and has a delicious soft milky rose flavor. I am obsessed with these French Rose Candy drops, and had to make something with that taste. If you love roses you will love this. rosesbb bbq9First you boil equal parts milk and water. Then you fill a glass or jar with the lightly boiling mixture and steep rosebud or rose petal tea,(I use a tea ducky) and a bag of black tea. Put in one packet of truvia or other sweetener like agave nectar, or sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and remove the black tea. Let the rose steep longer to bring out the flavor. Crush one strawberry over it so only the juice drips down. Place in the fridge to cool about 2 hours or more. remove rose tea. Fill your glass with ice and another splash of cold milk. Garnish with a rose of some sort, and a straw. It tastes as pretty as it looks.bbq4

Pineapple Hello Kitty Summer Cocktail

teaflower7teaflower8

teaflower10 I am obsessed with pineapples, and am always coming up with new recipes around this tropical gem. I hand painted the glasses:) This is a super easy cocktail, very refreshing and sweet, perfect for a hot summer night. They are a cross between a mojito, and a pineapple bellini. Meow.

  1. 1 fresh pineapple, sliced, and cored, cut some pieces for a garnish.
  2. 2 or 3 limes juiced
  3. brown sugar to taste, a few scoops is good because pineapple is sweet
  4. Dole pineapple juice in the can, or fresh juice.
  5. handful of fresh mint leaves
  6. a tray of ice cubes or 3 big scoops
  7. a sparkling peach french wine, or any champagne of your choosing, or budget.

Just blend all but the champagne, then serve them up like mimosas, filling your pineapple mixture halfway up the glass then top with the champagne. Garnish with a pineapple stem, pineapple wedge, and cherry. Cuteteaflower6

Another Girl Another Planet

alienbabeg3g6ap1  I am obsessed with themed parties and when I got a ton of alien balloons at work, I had to celebrate. Alien Happy Hour Pool Party Prom. Not too much food for this party like I usually serve, it was more for playing dress up, taking photos, and partying with my alien babes. I kept the menu simple, fun, and kid like. Earth girls are easy anyways. I bought all the funnest green candy I could find, like slime, sour straws, light saber spray, and orbit gum. I filled the room with ray guns, props, glow sticks, jewels  and space glasses. Lime crime blue lipstick in No She Didn’t was present.  I served up my kiwi mimosas(in my recipe section)  in a big fishbowl to resemble a space helmet. I also made a cosmic green fruit dip and fresh fruit for dipping. I uses lots of kiwis and grapes because of the green. The dip is super easy. I mixed up some cool whip up in a bowl with some pineapple juice, and  a scoop of vanilla green color changing pudding mix, (food coloring works too with a scoop of vanilla pudding mix). I served some crunchy green pea snacks to add some saltiness to the mix.  A special shout out to my beautiful talented friend Erika Viereck. She makes clothes, accessories, designs textiles, a stylist, and makes my hair wonderful. Like me she lives every second of life glamorous  dolled up,  broke and fabulous. We call ourselves Boozy Berries, and have a shared passion on throwing extravagant parties on a budget. We both know all the best placed to go for happy hour as well as deals on wine, cheese, and dessert. We spend most of our time making each other beautiful, stylish, and most importantly laugh. Another shout out to POP ROCK Threads, and Jeannette for the amazing photographs and company. These girls are just getting started, keep an eye on them. The party was out of this world. We all bonded over Bowie s Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars Vinyl. So Good. Time for me to blast off and head back to space.  g2g5g1g7

Pinky’s Obsessions

glam stmartinToday In honor of Shirley Maclaine’s birthday, I curled and pinned up my hair up to resemble her character in What A Way to Go. All glamour today. I wore my peachy pink kissed vintage St. Martin gown, or is it jacket? I love it so much, for sure my favorite piece in my wardrobe. I feel like it blushes. Underneath I wore a peach lace bodysuit, and my ballerina inspired skirt from Victoria Secret Pink. I had to wear peach sparky earnings, my favorite moonstone necklace, and my hello kitty backpack has been by my side for years. I love these Rose Gold Metallic Jeffrey Campbell wedges, I will wear these babies out.  For my makeup I did a small cat eye with liquid liner, and fake lashes. I used a little blush, and a lip stain for a natural flush dewy look. So be glamorous, excitingly attractive, its so much fun, and it makes people happy.
